Urgent Help Required - Midi files - Ahlborn Organ

You are here

Hi all, I am new to this forum but urgently looking for help/advice.  At our Church we use an Ahlborn organ, which uses a disc drive.  A few weeks ago the disc drive stopped working and so we called an organ engineer who is struggling to find a replacement.  We found a small device that plugs into the organ which has a digital screen and can read .midi files from an SD card or similar, which is great.  Someone must have used it before because it does have a handful of Hymns on there (as .midi files).  In addition, this plug in module allows for you to record someone playing the organ, so, i was wondering; does anyone know where i can get a load of .midi hymn files from or where we can hire an organist so that we can record the hymns.  Obviously I am happy to pay for either as we are approaching xmas with no songs on the organ. Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllpppppppppppppp

My location is Pontefract, West Yorkshire - UK

Festive greetings and kind regards,

Paul

Unfortunately, I don't have immediate help for your problem, except to suggest that you search for "small church music" at hymnary.org. There you will find organ recordings that you might possibly be able to use if you have a suitable audio system.
