Restrictions on Use of Public Domain Page Scans?

You are here

Hi there,

I'm wondering if anyone knows if Hymnary.org places any restrictions on the use of its public domain page scans (I'm referring only to page scans of public domain hymns that are from hymnals in the 1920s or earlier). Can I use and adapt these page scans freely to create and copy my own hymn sheets for my choir and worship team? Essentially, I'm wondering if Hymnary.org retains any rights/control over the digitization of those files, or if they are uploaded to the site for use without any copyright restrictions, etc.

Thanks for your help!

Jon

The page scans of public domain hymns are uploaded without any copyright restrictions so you are free to use and adapt them.

Thank you!
