This expressive piece is the third section of Saint-Sa뮳 Christmas Oratorio. Taken from Psalm 40:1, the text is suitable for both Advent and general use. The voice ranges are comfortable, and the music is not demanding. The optional cello part is included in the choral score and offers additional lyrical interest to the gentle but intense music.
