The tune authority shows 68 instances of SCHUMANN (schumann_schumann), but the person authority for the author only shows 10 instances. I'm sure 68 is closer to the truth than 10, but I can't quite imagine how such a vast discrepancy can exist when I assume both pages are drawing on the same database.
For what it's worth, there's also a significant discrepancy with regard to CANONBURY... tune authority says 110, whereas person authority says 94... but not nearly as outrageous a disjunct as with SCHUMANN.

Schumann
There is a discrepancy because not all the hymnals attribute SCHUMANN to Schumann. Most of them give the source as Mason and Webb's Cantica Laudis. As to CANONBURY, some people have put "Arr. from Schumann" in the source field, so he doesn't always appear in the Composer field.

Makes sense, while giving different observers vastly different notions of the facts.
