Dates with Full Name (when LOC is ignorant)

"The person's name as "Last, First Middle, birth-death" [Library of Congress format]"

I am thinking here in particular of the case of James Langran. When the LOC does not have birth or death years for a person but I do, should I enter this in the Full Name field [this is what I would think I should do] or only in the year fields? And is there a way to quickly and easily inform the LOC of what they are lacking?

You may enter the dates behind the full name if you know them, as well as in the year fields. LOC mostly uses the dates to disambiguate one person from another; sometimes they will put the dates in the authority record, rather than with the name.
