CHB1820? Really?

What evidence is there that "The Child's Hymn Book" published by the American Tract Society and selected by F(rances?) M(anwaring?) Caulkins, which the database refers to as hymnal CHB1820, was actually published prior to 1832 (or even that early)? Princeton, where the Hymnary's page scans appear to have come from, seems to assume that it is 1820, but I don't see any evidence of that in the book itself, and the fact that it contains Samuel Francis Smith's text "The morning light is breaking", which is generally dated 1832 (in 1820 Smith was only 11 or 12 years old!), seems to argue fairly strongly against 1820 as a date for the book.

I changed the date to 1840. WorldCat gives the date as "1800s". The 1820 date probably came from Princeton's date. The Publication dage field only accepts a date of 4 digits, so I am not able to add an "s" or brackets, or anything else.

1840 is an improvement. The limitations on some of the fields can be bothersome and inhibit full informativeness... Maybe a little checkbox for "Approximate" like one finds when entering birth and death years? Anyhow, thanks.
