INNOCENTS - Handel vs. Parish Choir vs. ??

For some reason CCEL (and Hymnary.org) calls this tune "innocents_handel"; the only instance that appears to support this is the 1916 Episcopal hymnal. The vast majority of instances show no compositorial attribution, and the majority of those I've actually seen simply give the source, "The Parish Choir", 1850, and leave it otherwise unattributed. It seems to me that calling it "INNOCENTS (Handel)" is more likely to cause users to mistakenly think it is not the tune they are looking for—especially if they are coming at it from a reference that says Thibaut or Pergolesi or Monk or Joseph Smith (!) composed it...

I would think either "innocents" or "innocents_parish_choir") would be a better handle (pun) for this one, and I'm interested to know on what grounds CCEL chose to go with Handel.

I see you changed it without waiting for a reply. Some of these hymnals have handbooks that could have been consulted, but based on the page scans it seems you've made a reasonable decision.
