I've got a lot of hymnals (mostly in "My Hymnals", but also a few that I don't own) where I provided a Cover URL from outside hymnary.org, most often from my hymnological Google site, https://sites.google.com/site/miahimnareto/ but occasionally from Amazon or some other source. I went in this evening to try to redo these according to the prescribed method, which is "If you can find a cover image, copy the image to a file, then under Editor Tools--Add new--Media, upload the image to Hymnary; right click on the resulting URL and select "copy"; then paste the URL into the Cover Image URL field." But when I go to Editor Tools, I don't see "Add new--Media". I know I've seen it there before, but tonight all I see is

Edit this hymnal
Arrange this hymnal
Delete this hymnal
Clear this hymnal
Delete all authors from this hymnal
Copy hymns to other hymnal
Download hymnal data as spreadsheet
Upload hymnal data spreadsheet
Upload xml page data
Upload xml full text data
Upload xml topic data
Upload xml scripture data
Upload page images
Upload individual page images
Delete page images
Delete individual page images
Resolve text authorities
Resolve tune authorities
Resolve person authorities

so I am giving up for the nonce and going to bed.

There are Editor Tools on the left side of the page, under which you will find the "Add New" and "Media File" under it. There are also a different set of Editor Tools connected to a hymnal.

... the other toolbox... I think sometimes I stay up too late doing this stuff. ;-)

Now I find I have trouble remembering to click "Image" each time; I keep expecting (wrongly) that the smart machine will learn what I am doing and make it the default. As a result, a number of these have been uploaded as "other/" rather than "image/" files. They seem to work okay as far as screen display goes, so I'm not sure if it's useful to correct these or not; but if it is desirable to correct them, then I must acknowledge that I can't figure out where and how to delete the "other/" ones when I replace them with "image/"s.

An example would be the cover image at The American Hymnal. Others I see are ANewNow, ANH1942, AS1948, and AtLotL.

Hopefully now I have learned not to move so fast just 'cause I've got a computer. ;-)

I don't think it really matters if you remember to select "Image" as long as it works. The important thing is to upload the image to Hymnary so the URL is secure and won't rot.
