The Hymnary page for Jennie Ree (http://www.hymnary.org/person/Ree_J?tab=texts) says "See Gabriel, Charles Hutchinson" after her name. Does this mean that "Jennie Ree" is a pseudonym for Charles Gabriel? If so, can you point me to a source for this?

Jennie Ree is a pseudonym Charles Gabriel used. One source is the "Catalog of Copyright Entries: Part 3, Musical Compositions: New Series, Volume 26, For the Year 1931" by the Library of Congress Copyright Office, p. 970, under "Gleaners"
