Text: | Little Things |
Author: | A. T. G. |
Tune: | [Our lives are not full of mighty deeds] |
Composer: | A. T. Goodsell |
1 Our lives are not full of mighty deeds,
As His disciples of old,
Nor must we do some wondrous work
His gospel to uphold.
Refrain:
Some little act, or some little word,
Some little deed of love;
Filling each moment of our days,
Will make earth like heav’n above.
2 Each day that we live, we’re sowing words,
Words we can never recall,
Words that are stored in someone’s heart;
Love should run through them all. [Refrain]
3 We must us the look of sympathy,
Reach out a hand to cheer,
A cup of water in His name,
And lo, the Master’s near. [Refrain]
4 Lose then more and more, all thought of self,
Striving for Christ to win,
That by each deed and word and thought,
Some may be saved from sin. [Refrain]
