111. The New Song

1 I have read of a song so wondrous sweet
‘Twill be sung in Heav’n at the Saviour’s feet;
When some happy day the redeem’d shall meet,
And sing a new song in glory.

Refrain:
A new, new song in glory we shall sing,
A new, new song of praises to the King;
We’ll shout aloud the grand old story,
And sing a new song in glory.

2 When each trial is o’er and each duty done,
When the race is ended the garland won;
When the ransom’d hosts gather round the throne,
We’ll sing a new song in glory. [Refrain]

3 Clad in robes of white, cleans’d from sin’s deep stain
By the precious blood of the Lamb once slain;
We shall praise Him when we with Him shall reign
And sing a new song in glory. [Refrain]

4 When at last His glorious face we see,
Then we’ll sing of grace and mercy free,
We shall worship Him thro’ eternity,
And sing a new song in glory. [Refrain]
