1 O sing, ye children, sin,
On this the best of days;
With happy hearts and voices bring
The tribute of your praise.
2 Let eyes no longer weep;
Let hearts no more be sad;
For heaven high festival doth keep,
And biddeth earth be glad.
3 With prayer and praise, O Lord,
We worship in Thy fear;
For here, Thou dost Thy name record;
Thine eyes and heart are here.
4 And we of lowly mind,
Who in Thy temple wait,
This as the house of God shall find,
And this as heaven’s own gate.
