152. Christ for Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

1 Has your yesterday been cleans’d by Jesus?
Are you free from sin and its alloy;
Has He told you it has all been pardoned?
Can you sing the ransom song of joy?
Yes, my yesterday is cleans’d, all glory
To the Lamb who died of Calvary,
The record of my sin is cancelled
By the precious blood He shed for me.

2 Are the tasks of your today a burden?
Do you wrestle with them all alone?
Or does Jesus give you strength to bear them?
Can you shout the Saviour’s pow’r you own?
Yes, the tasks of my today are easy,
For His presence makes my burden light,
And all along the way we journey,
For He makes my duties a delight.

3 Are you trusting Christ for your tomorrow?
Can you say “I know whom I’ve believéd?”
Are you ready should He call you homeward,
To the realms of endless joy and peace?
Yes, I’m trusting Christ for my tomorrow,
I have plac’d my all into His hands,
He’s in my soul the hope of glory,
I shall dwell with Him in fairer lands.
