167. The King of Kings

1 Joyfully now our songs are resounding,
As to our Savior each heart a tribute brings;
Sweetly the echoes too, are rebounding,
Echoes of praises unto the King of Kings.

Chorus:
He is Lord of all,
And He alone is worthy of our adoration!
We His name extol, For He it was who gave His life for our salvation;
Wonderful His love!
And with our song we will repeat the blessed story,
Till in Heav’n above
With the redeemed of earth we give to Him the glory.

2 Strangely He wro’t the Father’s commission;
Teaching and preaching the Word in Galilee;
Bearing the scorn of lowly position,
That from the burden of sin we might be free.

Chorus:
Blessed be His name,
His glory shall endure, and He shall reign forever!
Unto us He came
The yoke of sin to bear, the bonds of death to sever;
Loud hosannas sing!
Hosanna to the Son of David, the victorious!
Crown Him, crown Him King,
And make His praise thro’out the earth forever glorious!
