Text: | Life's Raging Storms |
Author, 2nd & 3rd verses: | S. W. Pope |
Tune: | [When dark storm clouds gather over me] |
Composer: | W. L. Spence |
1 When dark storm clouds gather over me,
Lightnings flash and thunders roll;
In my Lord I find security,
A shelter for my soul, my trembling soul.
Refrain:
He is the Master of the ocean,
Winds and waves obey His will;
When the storms of life are raging,
hear His peace be still, His peace be still.
2 Here temptations surely are so near,
burdens o'er my soul now sweep;
Jesus speaks and I will always hear,
His Spirit safely keeps, doth safely keep. [Refrain]
3 Many wrecks upon life's ocean wide
Blown and tossed against the shoals;
Jesus is the one to calm the tide,
Come now into the fold, into His fold. [Refrain]
