1 Father, dear, I wish to thank Thee
For my sweet refreshing sleep,
And the watch that Thou didst keep
While I slumbered soft and deep,
O’er Thy child so lovingly,—

2 All that I today am doing,
Help me, Lord, to do for Thee,
May I kind and helpful be,
Only good in others see,
Try to serve Thee faithfully,—
