Bound for the evergreen shore,
Where saints of all nations in one endless song
Sing praises to God evermore.

Then let this wild life-tempest roar,
Christ Jesus is guiding us o’er;

Safe on the evergreen shore.

2 We’re joyfully sailing o’er life’s ocean wide,

For Jesus will welcome us home to His side,
