As the day begins to dawn,
To the sepulcher approaching,
Loving hearts are drawing on.

2. They are seeking for the Savior
In the dampness and the gloom;
But He slumbers there no longer;

But behold the shining angel,

4. Weep no more, ye sad disciples,
Your Redeemer ye shall see;
