16114. When The Savior Sends Us

1 When the Savior sends us
On a mission here below,
Trusting Him with joy we go;
Tho’ our journey be across
The wild and stormy sea,
He will keep us safe, we know.

Refrain:
We will praise the Lord in glory,
Tell the nations of His love,
Till the sound of sacred story
Echoes ’round the throne above.

2 Many times we meet with
Trials that seem hard to bear,
But the Lord is always fair;
On the darkest days, when
Black and gloomy seems the way,
He is with us everywhere. [Refrain]

3 So wherever Christ shall
Send us with a word of cheer,
We will go, and never fear;
For the blessed Lord has
Promised in His holy Word,
That to us He’ll e’er be near. [Refrain]
