12317. While Angels Sing

1 In a manger low, in cattle shed,
Lo, the King of Heaven lies;
While the twinkling stars are looking down
On the King of earth and skies.

Refrain:
While the angels are singing
A glad and glorious lay,
Telling of the King of kings
Who was born on Christmas Day;
Behold Him lying so lowly
In humble manger bed, and the bright stars
Are softly twinkling over His head.
(Repeat)

2 Over all the world His glory shines,
With a light that naught can dim;
And the rays of love that rise today
Shall bring all the world to Him. [Refrain]

3 Over all His reign shall be complete,
When the glory of His life
Shall awaken chords of love that end
All the jarring tones of strife. [Refrain]
