11242. Homeland

1 There’s a homeland of joy for the soul,
With its brightness and beauty sublime;
There we’ll live while the ages shall roll,
In that blessèd and pure holy clime.

Refrain:
Guide me, angels of light, to that home,
Where my loved ones are waiting for me;
In that land where no sorrow can come,
We will live, blessèd Savior, with Thee.

2 In that beautiful homeland so blest,
There’s no parting, no heartache, no sigh;
With our Savior and king we shall rest,
Free from care in the sweet by and by. [Refrain]

3 There’s a homeland of peace over there,
Where the weary find rest to the soul;
There the saints all immortal and fair,
Walk with Christ thro’ the streets of pure gold. [Refrain]
