1 Tho’ unseen, yet still we love Thee,
Friend and Guide o’er life’s dark sea;
Thou art dearer than a brother
To our hearts can ever be.

O the joy Thy promise brings!
We shall rest beneath the shadow
Of Thine own almighty wings.

2 When before Thy throne we gather,
Burdened oft with anxious care,
