1 Soon I shall leave all the burdens of life,
At rest with Him,

Mine eyes shall close to earth’s care and its strife,
At rest with Him,
At rest with Him.

With my blest Lord in the haven of peace,
Rest will be mine, with Him divine,
Anchored at last where all sorrow shall cease,

2 Soon I shall be where my tears cannot flow,

In that blest homeland no grief can I known,

3 Loved ones have gone with their Saviour to be,
