I take it there's no way to search for instances with "germane" in the full texts without being inundated by all the occurrences of "German"?

The specific search for "germane" can be done by entering ="germane" in the search box. We do not have any hymn texts with this word, but you can try it with "hopes" and ="hopes" to see how it works
