Robert Hawker

Quite clearly, Lord, dismiss us with thy blessing, Bid us is incorrectly attributed to Robert S. Hawker, when in fact (see Julian's text quoted there) it is probably by his grandfather, Robert Hawker, for whom there is apparently no person authority. It is not yet clear to me whether any of the hymns attributed to Robert S. Hawker are actually his (again, see Julian). There is also some uncertainty about whether the "Bid us" hymn is in fact distinct from the "Fill our" hymn attributed to Fawcett. If they are variants of the same text, then it is not clear to me whether the elder Hawker or Fawcett is to be credited.

"Bid us" is now attributed to Robert Hawker instead of Robert Stephen Hawker. The authorship is not clear, but Julian and others claim it is most likely by Hawker. It is distinct enough from "Fill Us" to be a separate hymn.
