Weird first line of Wesley hymn

Charles Wesley's well-known hymn "Praise the Lord who reigns above and keeps his court below" in its text authority page is for some reason given as "Praise ye the Lord, who reigns above, yet loves his courts below", even though the only instance with this first line is from 1845, long after it was published with the usual first line. Why?

It may have been the way DNAH indexed it, or we may have edited a bracketed text with the first variation we came across, or it may have been the way similar lines were combined when either DNAH migrated into our system or similar lines were merged. I fixed it to match the common text.
